Uczestnicy szkolenia zapoznają się z możliwościami i specyficznymi cechami architektury serwerów Sun Fire 15K/12K oraz Sun Fire E25K/E20K. Podczas kursu prezentowane są metodologie konfigurowania i administracji platformy wspieranej przez Sun w serwerach Sun Fire klasy High-End. Ponadto uczestnicy nauczą się wykorzystywać udostępniane przez system operacyjny Solaris narzędzia oraz techniki służące do rozwiązywania problemów.
Po zakończeniu szkolenia uczestnicy będą w stanie:
- Omówić architekturę, przeznaczenie oraz zaawansowane funkcje niezawodności, dostępności i sprawnego serwisowania (RAS) serwerów Sun Fire 15K/12K
- Identyfikować poszczególne komponenty systemu na podstawie ich umiejscowienia, układu i spełnianej funkcji
- Wykorzystywać metodologie konfiguracji i administrowania platformą obsługiwaną w serwerach Sun Fire klasy High-End
- Stosować techniki i narzędzia do rozwiązywania problemów istniejące w Solaris OS
- Konfigurować i zarządzać platformą używając użyteczności System Management Services (SMS)
- Uruchamiać i konfigurować Solaris OS na domenie
- Definiować i edytować parametry nonvolatile random access memory (NVRAM)
- Tworzyć, zarządzać i usuwać domeny używając sprzętu, konfiguracji systemu i ACL (available component lists)
- Używać komend PROM (programmable read-only memory) do zbierania informacji systemowych i interpretowania rezultatów.
Szkolenie przeznaczone jest dla osób, które pełnią rolę administratorów platform, operatorów platform, inżynierów serwisowych platform, administratorów domen.
